SE Life Cycle Support SE6 – Four (4) Positions Available

LOCATION: CANX1, MD

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph

Position Description:

This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; work is performed at the customer site. As a Life Cycle Support Systems Engineer on our team, you will support, and work closely with, the customer Technical Director in performing a wide variety of tasks requiring a strong systems engineering background and experience as well as a foundation in architecture and senior staff level communications.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing systems engineering life cycle support in conjunction with customer partners and orchestrating across various aspects of the systems life cycle to improve decision-making and deliver capabilities.
  • Rapidly assess the need for systems engineering for acquisition and organizational initiatives and recommend and execute the required efforts for success.
  • Provide technical recommendations and assistance to the customer for all phases of the SE life cycle, program, or organization supported by the customer.
  • Task activities will include Life CycleManagement, Requirements creation and management, Technical Management, Acquisition Support, Integration Management, Test and Evaluation support, Enterprise Architecture Support, Transition and Decommission support.

Required Skills/Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline and at least 20 years of systems engineering experience.
  • A Master’s or Ph.D. Degree may be substituted for two years of experience. Note: a High School Diploma or GED plus 24years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Desired Skills/Education:

  • A broad experience in systems engineering disciplines, with a focus on architectures, the system of system integration and architecture, mission use case and thread analysis, and engineering.
  • Experience in developing/documenting architectures using standard architectural frameworks (e.g., UAF, DoDAF) and should have familiarity with the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).
  • Desired to be proficient with the Cameo architecture tool and its usage.
  • A demonstrated ability to work constructively and successfully with diverse stakeholders to resolve mission and technical issues.
