Position Description:
This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year. As a Business Manager on our team, you will aid the Government Program Managers with monitoring and reporting on the status of multiple ongoing projects. You will monitor project progress relative to program plans, programmatic, and financial baselines and will beresponsible for drafting reports that aid the government in highlighting project status. The ideal candidate is one who has strong written and oral communications skills and with experience effectively communicating program success to leadership and relevant stakeholders. The individual will:
- Assist in planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the work of personnel in charge of tasks and/or integrated product teams.
- Assist in developing management plans and preparing management/cost performance reports.
- Provides technical expertise to coordinate project activities, i.e., work package drafting and coordination, work breakdown structure management.
- Coordinate travel, meetings, briefings, and other activities necessary for the effective execution of program management tasks.
Required Skills/Job Duties:
- Strong written and oral communications skills and who has experience effectively communicating program success to leadership and relevant stakeholders.
Desired Skills/Education:
- Five (5) years’ experience in Business Management in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, program management, information systems, electronic publishing, communications, or related discipline is required.
- In lieu of a degree, a Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level I in Program or Business Management plus an additional three (3) years of directly related experience (for a total of eight (8) years) will also qualify.
- A basic understanding of Cybersecurity activities would be desired, but not required.
